Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, says he cannot promise victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday in Nigeria’s second World Cup game because he is not God.

After a disappointing 0-0 draw in their opening Group F match against Iran on Monday, the African champions need a win against the Southeastern European country to boost their hope of qualifying for the knockout rounds of Brazil 2014.

But Keshi has maintained he will only do what he can as a coach and leave things he can’t control to God.

“I’m not God; I’m just a coach and I will do what I have to do and that’s it,” he told reporters in Brazil.

“Even the best coaches in the world cannot tell you they will win before the game.

“We will try to prepare ourselves; we will work together and see what happens.”

He used the opportunity to talk about the unpredictability of the game, as well as douse expectations ahead of the win-or-bust encounter with Bosnia.

“We saw (the surprise from) Costa Rica; we saw (another surprise) Holland and Spain,” he said.

“With football, you never can tell. Whatever comes my way, I will take it.”

Both teams meet for the first ever with second place finish on their minds.

Bosnia will be hoping for a result on the day, after they impressed but still lost 2-1 to group favourites Argentina. Meanwhile, the Super Eagles know anything but a win will spell doom to their second-round aspirations.
