Kredete, a Nigerian financial technology (fintech) firm, says it has raised $22 million in Series A funding to scale its credit infrastructure and stablecoin-powered transfer services across more than 40 African countries.

Adeola Adedewe, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Kredete, announced the funding in a post on X on Monday.

According to the CEO, the round was led by AfricInvest through the Cathay AfricInvest Innovation Fund and Financial Inclusion Vehicle, with participation from Partech Partners and Polymorphic Capital.

He said the investment will support its mission of helping millions of African immigrants send money home, make payments with cards, and save securely.

“This raise fuels our next chapter as we expand our stablecoin infrastructure that powers global money movement for Africans everywhere—unlocking access, credit, and opportunity across 40+ countries.

“To our team, partners, and investors—thank you. We’re just getting started”.
