The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted an appeal panel to address complaints arising from the LGA primary elections conducted on Saturday.
The APC had on Saturday conducted chairmanship and councillorship primaries to elect candidates for the 12 July LG polls in the state.
Fifty-five chairmanship candidates were elected during the primary elections — two short of the expected 57.
However, aggrieved party members have kicked against the outcomes of the polls, citing alleged imposition of candidates.

In a statement on Monday, Seye Oladejo, Lagos APC publicity secretary, said Lawal Pedro, the attorney-general and Lagos state commissioner for justice, will chair the committee, while Abiodun Olufowobi will serve as the secretary.
“Sequel to the successful conduct of the primaries, the party had inaugurated an Appeal Committee to look into pockets of protests from dissatisfied aspirants who participated in the exercise,” the statement reads.
“Other members are Rt. Hon. Jokotola Pelumi, a former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, a former member of the House and state secretary of the party; Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi; and Chief Chukwudi Adiukwu.
