Only Lai and I can speak for APC, says Oyegun
John Oyegun, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says only him and Lai Mohammed, the party’s national publicity secretary, are authorised to speak for APC.
Oyegun said this in a statement issued on Friday, explaining that the decision was taken to check “unauthorised persons” who have been issuing statements on behalf of the party in recent times.
“It has come to the attention of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress that unauthorised persons have recently been issuing statements on behalf of the party,” Oyegun’s statement read.
“This is totally wrong and unacceptable as only the national chairman and the national publicity secretary can speak for the party on national issues.
“Therefore, any member of the national working committee or the party generally, who wishes to speak on behalf of the party, should expressly clear such statement with the national chairman of our great party.”
The statement directed the party’s state publicity secretaries to restrict their comments to issues concerning their respective states.

Sort your issues maturely and leave Nigerians out of it.
