Many thanks to the management of THE CABLE For this real time reportage of Ekiti Polls. This is a pleasantly new and innovative effort timely introduced into the Nigerian news reporting culture.

More grease to your elbows and joints.

PDP winning in Ekiti does not pose any treat to me as an APC member in Kwara State because we dont vote in the line of bitterness against people in power has ekiti which has seeing them not having two terms governor but we vote for our reasons

My God. So elections are not won on the pages of newspapers. Am not from Ekiti but I would like to meet someone from there to feel the pulse rather than paid noises on the pages of newspapers.

While we still savour the sweetness of the victory of the super eagles over Bosnia, the news came that the EKWUEME 1 (a man of his words) of EKITI STATE has shown (APC) the way out of the state. SAME will happen in IMO STATE come 2015. SHAME on APC!!! PDP has won freely and fairly but they can still go to court according to our able VP – DADDY SAMBO. Congrats bro AYO FAYOSE, EKITI PEOPLE, PDP AND NIGERIA.

Fayemi should just come out and release a press statement to congratulate fayose for the resounding victory. We should learn how accept defeats especially when it has been free and fairly contested. Fayemi defeats in all local government areas came at the back of many factors (1) Ekiti is very homogenous, they all speak one language, sharing thesame distinct dialect, culture and history;thereby making it possible to speak with one voice when it matters.(2) They hardly forget easily, they will wait till the opportunity will present itself and do their revenge (3) Fayemi has been too elitist in his approach to many political issues, thereby taking for granted the grassroots who are in majority. He had four good years in government with all the resources and yet has failed to woo the common people e.g. How do you justify a mere propaganda of giving people social security money when you know you will give to them all, he only gave money to his party loyalists and it was never regular, the programme has backfired bitterly on him. How do you justify tests for civil servants and Teachers with intention of taking away their jobs, if I were him i would have organised trainings to bring them up-todate in order to become more efficient. He relied too much on propagandas in the media, which has backfired badly. He’s not yet a tactician in politics as Ayo Fayose has proven himself. He should just accept defeat gloriously and congratulate the winner, period! It is not the end of the road.

Please I request “THE CABLE” to publish the election results of the PARTICULAR POLLING STATION where Gov. Fayemi DID ACTUALLY VOTE so that we can then know WHETHER OR NOT HE WAS ALSO REJECTED EVEN HIS OWN WARD.

Please “THE CABLE” should publish the election results also of the PARTICULAR polling centre where the Deputy Governor of Ekiti state & also make public the election results of RESPECTIVE POLLING STATIONS WHERE EKITI STATE APC CHIEFTAINS CAST THEIR VOTES IN YESTERDAY’S GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION.

These results will go a very long way in confirming WHETHER OR NOT people of Ekiti state WERE DISENCHANTED WITH APC & WERE IN DIRE NEED OF CHANGE – EVEN IF THEY NEEDED A CHANGE JUST FOR THE SAKE OF “LET’S HAVE A CHANGE”.

Nigerians will indeed BE BETTER OF & WE SHALL ALL BE GRATEFUL TO THE CABLE FOR PROFESSIONALLY DISTILLING SUCH CRITICAL DATA. ALSO FUTURE GENERATIONS WILL BE GRATEFUL TO ‘THE CABLE” FOR ADDING AN ENTIRELY NEW DIMENSION TO ONLINE REPORTAGE OF ELECTION RESULTS IN NIGERIA.

    Thank you.
    OBIOMA JOB.

It took a relative to confirm that this Fayose man used to be governor of Ekiti state. With all the many confusions brought upon by political litigation, I have lost touch of who is where.

I thank God that there were no reports of election violence – a first for the Southwest; unfortunately, to achieve that, fundamental human rights of many Nigerians were trampled upon. Seems we are finally moving in the direction of benevolent dictatorship – my favorite governing style for African countries
