Usain Bolt suffered a hamstring injury while on the anchor leg of the 4X100m race at the World Athletics championships in London.

The final race of Bolt’s glittering career turned out to be an anti-climax for the athlete and expectant fans alike.

Great Britain came first to win gold in 37:47 seconds, the United States won silver while Japan took the bronze.

The British quartet won the race in the third fastest time in history.
