Many Nigerian players were in action for their respective clubs in the past week.

The top performers made TheCable’s team of the week.

Austin Ejide (Hapoel Hadera)

The former Gabros and Etoile du Sahel shot-stopper made a number of decent saves to help his team pick a point last weekend.

Kenneth Omeruo (Leganes)

Despite Leganes’ 1-0 loss to Espanyol, Omeruo stood out as one of his team’s top performers.

Tosin Adarabioyo (West Bromwich Albion)

The Baggies needed a leader at the back against Wigan and the on-loan Manchester City defender came to the party.

Leon Balogun (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Whenever Balogun gets the chance to impress in the Seagulls’ starting XI, he is usually on top form. That was also the case in the 3-1 win at AFC Bournemouth.

James Igbekeme (Real Zaragoza)

Igbekeme was instrumental for the Real Zaragoza side that fought from a goal down to edge Sporting Gijon 2-1.

Ademola Lookman (Everton)

The skilful winger showed signs of a world class player in the FA Cup game where he scored a sublime goal for the Toffees.

Ramon Azeez (Lugo)

Azeez was uncompromising in his duties despite the fact that Lugo went down to nine men at Deportivo La Coruna. He was a beast in his territory.

Oghenekaro Etebo (Stoke City)

A decent game from the utility player who put in a good shift at Newport County.

Alex Iwobi (Arsenal)

Iwobi is the talk of the town at North London. He further underlined his importance to Arsenal with a goal at Blackpool.

Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal)

The forward troubled Eibar defenders with his skills down the right flank. He is a reported target of Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

Uche Nwofor (JS Kabylie)

Uche Nwofor led the line for JS Kabylie and delivered the match winner in the game against JS Saoura
