Chimaobi Atu
Chimaobi Atu, a member of the house of representatives, has defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Atu’s defection notice was announced on the floor of the green chamber by Tajudeen Abbas, speaker of the house, during Thursday’s plenary.
The lawmaker represents Enugu north/south federal constituency.
The legislator cited the protracted wrangling within the opposition party, saying it has negatively affected his duties.
