George Moghalu
George Moghalu, governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the November 8 Anambra election, has inaugurated the George Moghalu Volunteers.
The event took place on Saturday at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi.
Moghalu said the group is the vanguard of a new movement to recover and rebuild Anambra.
He thanked the volunteers for aligning with his vision and gave special recognition to coordinators of the group for a “tireless leadership and organisational drive”.

The LP candidate said the coordinators’ role have been instrumental in galvanising the grassroots and giving practical expression to the ideals of the movement.
“This project is not about seeking people who will work for me but about raising true partners who will work with me to restore Anambra’s pride of place,” he said.
“The Recovery Agenda is a call to service, unity and collective sacrifice for the future of the state.”

Moghalu urged Anambra residents, especially youths, women and men across communities, to enlist in the movement by registering through his campaign website.
He assured that with sincerity of purpose and the determination of the people, Anambra will rise again as a beacon of commerce, progress and hope in Igboland and Nigeria.
The inauguration was attended by supporters, stakeholders and community leaders who pledged commitment to the Recovery Agenda.
Moghalu, pioneer national auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), resigned from the ruling party in August 2024.
