Manchester City have strolled into the knockout round of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) following a 3-0 win over ten-man Young Boys in their Group G encounter at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.

The UCL Champions needed goals from Erling Haaland (brace) and Phil Foden to secure qualification after four matches.

Haaland put City on the path to victory with a well-taken penalty kick midway into the first half before Foden’s placed strike doubled the advantage before the break.

Haaland’s 20-yard strike thereafter sealed the win on 51 minutes before Sandro Lauper received a red card for his second booking on the night.

Pep Guardiola’s unbeaten side have won all four group matches this season.

Elsewhere, AC Milan came from behind to shock PSG with a 2-1 win at San Siro, with Rafael Leao’s overhead kick and Olivier Giroud’s header cancelling Milan Skrinier’s early strike.

Shakhtar Donetsk also shocked Barcelona in a 1-0 win, while Atletico Madrid walloped ten-man Celtic 6-0.
