The Jigawa police command says a yet-to-be-identified man was electrocuted while attempting to steal armoured electrical cables at the state’s secretariat complex in Dutse.
A statement on Wednesday by Lawan Shiisu, the police spokesperson in the state, said the incident occurred around 10am on Wednesday.
Shiisu said the operatives, on getting to the scene of the incident, found the man under a slab containing armoured cables.
The police spokesperson noted that preliminary investigation showed that the deceased was electrocuted while attempting to vandalise armoured electrical cables connected to a high-voltage power source.
