Man United react as Greenwood is accused of assaulting ‘ex-girlfriend’

Mason Greenwood, Manchester United forward, has been accused by a woman of assaulting her.

Harriet Robson, the allegedly assaulted lady who is said to be his ex-girlfriend, took to her Instagram stories on Sunday morning to support her allegations with video, pictures and voice notes, which were deleted shortly afterwards.

In the audio clip, a man appeared to be threatening to attack her while the images showed her bloodied face and body covered in bruises.

“To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me,” she captioned the images.

In it’s reactions in a statement, Manchester United said “we are aware of images circulating on social media but will not comment further at this time”.

The Old Trafford outfit also warned that it “does not condone violence of any kind”.

“We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media,” the statement read.

“We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”

Also reacting, Greater Manchester Police said they were “aware of images and video circulating on social media. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

Greenwood, 20, who is a graduate of Manchester United’s academy, has registered 35 goals in 129 appearances for the Red Devils.
