Manchester United have made their second signing of the summer, snapping Brazilian midfielder, Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk for £47 million.

The 25-year old midfielder who had a stellar season with Shakhtar, helping them with victories over Manchester City and Napoli on the road to qualifying for the Round of 16 in last season’s Champions League, spoke about his admiration to play for Mourinho at the biggest club in the world.

“This is the biggest club in the world and I am delighted to be a part of this amazing team. To work with Jose Mourinho, who has won so many trophies in his time as a coach, is an opportunity not to be missed,” the former internacional player stated.

Fred, who is currently on duty international duty with Brazil at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, joins Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot as Man Utd’s latest signing as they try to wrestle the EPL crown from the grasp of current champions and neighbours, Manchester City, next season.
