Margaret Fagboyo, a development expert and former special adviser to the Ekiti state governor, says her vision for Nigeria is one where institutions function effectively, justice is impartial, and every citizen feels seen, heard, and valued.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Fagboyo said Nigeria can achieve inclusive growth if it embraces leadership anchored on integrity and accountability.
“I long to see a Nigeria where leadership is driven by integrity, accountability, and a genuine desire to serve – not self,” she said.
“A Nigeria where our diversity becomes our strength, not our division.

“I envision a country where institutions work – where justice is blind, opportunities are accessible, and every citizen feels seen, heard and valued.
“A land where women, men, and all marginalised groups are fully included in governance and development.”
Fagboyo said Nigeria must rise above corruption, insecurity, and poverty, and prioritise education, healthcare, and resource mobilisation for the common good.

“The road may be long, but I believe in the resilience and brilliance of Nigerians,” she said.
“Together, with vision, courage, and collective action, we can build the Nigeria we all desire – a nation that works, not just for a few, but for all.”
Fagboyo will mark her 50th birthday on Saturday in Abuja, with Biodun Oyebanji, governor of Ekiti, expected to lead a host of dignitaries.
Others attending include Kayode Fayemi and Niyi Adebayo, former governors of Ekiti, Seun Aiyedatiwa, the first lady of Ondo, Kayode Egbetokun, inspector-general of police (IGP), Yemi Adaramodu, senate spokesman, several federal lawmakers, diplomats, civil society organisations (CSOs) leaders and development experts.
