Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Mohammed Buba Marwa, has berated Murtala Nyako, the governor of Adamawa State, for his letter to northern governors.
In his letter, Nyako alleged that the federal government was waging a genocidal war against the north.
Marwa described the governor’s outburst as unpatriotic, and an insular representation of the feelings of Adamawa people.
The former military administrator of Lagos State also said that Nyako’s allegations against the federal government were shameful, disrespectful, and a disappointment to the military community from where Nyako rose.
Marwa advised the obviously peeved governor to respect the office of the President irrespective of his feelings towards Goodluck Jonathan.
He said, “And while President Goodluck Jonathan may not be a perfect human being and only God is perfect, yet he remains our President whether Nyako likes it or not. Nyako must recognize him as the leader of Nigeria and C-in-C”.
