Mary Akinsola
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Mary Akinsola as the media officer of the Super Falcons.
The federation announced Akinsola’s appointment in a statement on Thursday.
Akinsola has over 10 years of experience in communications and sports management roles.
She has previously worked with Warner Bros Discovery (Eurosport) as a production and commentary coordinator, with Sportsgazette UK as a sports writer, editor and digital media manager, and with ACLSports as a podcast host and writer.

She also worked with Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State as a sportscaster, writer and producer.
Akinsola holds a master’s degree in international sports journalism from St. Mary’s University, London.
She joins the Super Falcons team ahead of the forthcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The competition is scheduled to take place from July 5 to 26.
The Super Falcons will be hoping to win the competition for the 10th time.
The team is in group B alongside Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria.
The Falcons are currently in Casablanca, Morocco, and will play Ghana in one final preparatory game on June 29 ahead of the tournament.
