Masari to deliver keynote address as former APC reps hold roundtable on party convention

Former members of the house of representatives in the All Progressives Congress (APC) will, on February 3, hold a roundtable on the party’s forthcoming convention.

The APC convention is scheduled to hold on February 26.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the APC former house of representatives forum, the roundtable will also focus on “the road to 2023”.

The statement was signed by Ibrahim Zalaini and Idris Yahuza, protem chairman and secretary of the forum, respectively.

“The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the state of our party, issues, challenges, the forthcoming APC national convention, and the road to 2023,” the statement reads.

“Keynote speakers at the event include former members like governors of Katsina and Zamfara states, Hon. Aminu Bello Masari and Bello Matawalle; minister of state for education, Hon. Chukwemeka Nwajiuba; minister of aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika; former minister of state for mines and steel development, Hon.  Bawa Bwari; former speaker, Dimeji Bankole; Patricia Etteh, among others.”

All former house of representatives members in the APC were urged to endeavour to attend the meeting “in order to be able to aggregate opinions on sundry political issues”.
