MFM striker’s wonder goal on track to win CNN Football award
Sikiru Olatunbosun’s goal for MFM FC in the 2-1 defeat of Rangers has been nominated for CNN Football goal of the week award.
The striker smashed in the screamer from 25 yards on Friday at Agege stadium, Lagos.
CNN Football on Tuesday tweeted Olatunbosun’s goal as one of the nominees for its goal of the week award.

His nomination is the first time a goal from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) will be shortlisted for the CNN Football award.
At the time of filing this report, the striker was well ahead of other nominees with 82 percent of the votes.
Radja Nainggolan of FC Roma, Youri Tielemans of Anderlecht, and Joey Jones of Woking FC are the other nominees on the list.
The winner will be announced on Thursday.
