Goddy Jedy Agba, minister of state for power, has asked youths to shun hard drugs, banditry, robbery and other vices that are destructive to society.

According to a statement issued by Ofem Uket, spokesman of the minister, Agba spoke on Friday at an event organised by the Northern National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Abuja.

The minister expressed concern over the rate of drug abuse by youths but added that the government remains committed to reversing the trend.
