After 18 years, a man in Vietnam had a pair of surgical scissors removed from his stomach.

The 15cm-long surgical scissors were left inside his stomach during an operation after the man had an accident that needed surgery.

After experiencing sharp pains, a stomach x-ray finally revealed the scissors lying in his abdomen. The Vietnamese returned to the same hospital that operated on him 18 years earlier to have the sharp tool removed.

The operation was said to be successful and he’s recovering.
