I miss my father, says Saraki

Senate President Bukola Saraki says he is missing his father who would have clocked 83 years on Tuesday.

The older Saraki, popularly referred to as the strong man of Kwara politics, died of cancer in November 2012.

Between 1979 and 1983, he was a senator. He rose to the position of a leader in the legislative chamber.

Nigeria’s number three man, who had a very special relationship with his father, took to social media to celebrate him.

“Dear father, it has been four years since you left us. You died as a titan of your time; a legend of the years that you walked the earth,” he wrote.

“As we remember you today, and pay homage to your memory, I want to say: Thank you Baba. We miss your presence.”
