Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation
The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) says Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation, will chair its book presentation event.
GOCOP’s membership comprises 120 corporate publishers, including editors and senior journalists with careers in print and electronic media.
A statement by Ogbuefi Nweke, publicity secretary of the group, said Ike Neliaku, president of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), would review the book.
The presentation of the book titled ‘Nigeria Media Renaissance: GOCOP Perspectives on Online Publishing’, will be held at 10 am on June 17, 2025, at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel.

He said Neliaku is a public relations expert, author, and public speaker and has held notable positions, including senior special assistant to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2010-2015).
Nweke said the event would serve as a fundraiser for the N2.3 billion GOCOP media centre, a multi-purpose resource centre featuring a secretariat, a library, and event halls.
The event will be graced by government officials, captains of industry, media practitioners and other professionals, representatives of international organisations, and directors of non-governmental organisations.
