Alvaro Morata came back to haunt his former club after scoring the decisive goal to send Juventus into their first Champions League final since 2003 at the expense of Real Madrid.

Morata, who left Real for Juve last summer, scored an 57th-minute strike to seal a 3-2 aggregate win for Juve.

The Italian champions went into the match with a 2-1 aggregate lead and held on for a 1-1 draw on the night to send the holders crashing out and set up a showdown with Barcelona in Berlin on June 6.

The Old Lady had to come from behind to secure their progress in the Bernabeu as Cristiano Ronaldo converted a 23rd-minute penalty to put Real ahead on away goals.
