Stoke City winger, Victor Moses, will be out for up to eight weeks after suffering a thigh injury.

Moses, on loan at the Britannia Stadium from Chelsea, has been in fine form in recent weeks but was injured in the 2-1 Barclays Premier League defeat by Burnley on Saturday.

The winger was withdrawn in the second half of the match and the diagnosis is bad news for manager Mark Hughes.

“It’s bad news on Victor Moses, a problem with his thigh,” assistant manager Mark Bowen said.

“He will be out with anything up to six to eight weeks. It’s a big hit. He had a scan and it’s not good.

“At the moment we’re deciding with Chelsea whether to go back and have the rehab there or stay with our team.”

Stoke are already without Osaze Odemwingie (knee) for the season while Oussama Assaidi, who joined on loan as cover for Odemwingie, is ineligible for Saturday’s league clash at his parent club Liverpool.
