Bassey Otu, governor of Cross River state, has felicitated with First Lady Remi Tinubu on her 65th birthday anniversary.
In a statement by Linus Obogo, the governor’s chief press secretary, Otu said the milestone reflects not just the passage of time but “a radiant tapestry woven with devotion to family, nation, and humanity”.
Otu described the first lady as “a woman of elegance, compassion, and enduring strength, whose life continues to illuminate countless paths”.
The governor likened the president’s wife to “a blossoming rose, exuding the fragrance of hope, faith, and unwavering service, virtues that have endeared her to millions of Nigerians”.

“Today, we salute not just the First Lady, but a mother of immeasurable grace, a symbol of fortitude, and a beacon of virtuous womanhood,” he said.
Otu added that her journey so far has been steeped in courage, humility, and love, which resonate in both public and private service.
The governor prayed that God would crown her new season with vitality, joy, and fulfilment.

He said the president wife’s contributions to nation-building are immeasurable, adding that she embodies the ideals of faith, leadership, and service.
“Your commitment to uplifting lives, strengthening families, and advancing the cause of women and youth remains a shining example of purposeful leadership,” he said.
Otu also conveyed the felicitations of the people of Cross River to the first lady, wishing her many more years of health and fulfilment.
Also, Mudashiru Obasa, speaker of the Lagos house of assembly, congratulated Oluremi Tinubu, describing her as the “Mother of the Nation” who has given so much of herself to humanity through philanthropy and political stewardship.

In a statement signed by Dave Agboola, his chief press secretary, Obasa praised her “selfless service” since her time as first lady of Lagos, noting that her initiatives then had life-changing impacts on youth, women, and vulnerable groups.
He commended her “robust stewardship” as a three-term senator and now as first lady of Nigeria.
Obasa described the president’s wife as “a pivotal force, inestimable cheerleader, and foremost partner of our beloved President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his mission to enthrone a more prosperous and progressive Nigeria through the Renewed Hope Agenda”.
