Musa: Kano Pillars won’t get £80,000 from my Leicester deal
Ahmed Musa, Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, says Kano Pillars, his former club, will not get any compensation from his £18 million Leicester move.
Speaking with TheCable on the reports that the Nigerian club will get £80,000 from the deal, the striker said: “For what? It is all lies.
“It’s only VVV Venlo that CSKA will give some money to, not Kano Pillars. When I leave Leicester, it is CSKA that will get such money.”
Malikawa, media officer of Kano Pillars, also told TheCable that there is no truth in the reports because Musa came to the club on loan.
“No! No!! No!!! That’s not true,” he said.
“Kano Pillars cannot get anything from his club deals because Ahmed Musa was loaned to Kano Pillars.
“We don’t have any right to any of his signings or whatever Leicester paid CSKA.”
The first Nigerian to score a brace at the FIFA World Cup has played four matches for his current club.
He scored his first goal for Leicester in a friendly game against Barcelona, though his team lost the match.
