Sadiq Osude
Sadiq Osude, founder of the SOS Foundation, has declared his intention to contest the Nasarawa governorship election in 2027.
In a statement by his media office on Friday, Osude, an entrepreneur from Keana LGA, said his track record in humanitarian and development work positions him for the role.
He said his foundation has reached over 60,000 beneficiaries across the state’s 13 LGAs since 2015, providing 60 boreholes for clean water and vocational training for 6,000 people.
Osude pledged to run an administration built on integrity, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.

He said his priorities would include building schools, establishing healthcare centres, enhancing security, and expanding economic opportunities.
“His philanthropic efforts, which began in 2015, have earned him a reputation for creating tangible change and have now laid the groundwork for his political aspirations,” the statement reads.
“His campaign, ‘Service Today, Progress Tomorrow’, aims to scale up these development projects across the entire state.”

The governorship hopeful said he plans to support farmers, develop infrastructure, and responsibly harness mineral resources to “secure a prosperous future where every voice is heard and every community thrives.”
In June, Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa, said he will name his preferred successor ahead of the 2027 elections.
“But A.A. Sule also has the right to support someone. When the time comes, I’ll clearly name my preferred candidate,” the governor said.
“And I will not be afraid to publicly endorse who I believe should succeed me. I am responsible for ensuring the primary election is free, fair, and transparent.”
