Chelsea beat Leicester City 2-1 away in the fourth round of games of the 2017/18 English Premier League season.
Nigerian wingback Victor Moses had a fairly decent game before being substituted in the 73rd minute.
Super Eagles midfield youngster Wilfred Ndidi was the engine room in the middle for Leicester while Kelechi Iheanacho came on in the 74th minute for the team – but their combined efforts could yield little.
Alvaro Morata broke the deadlock in the 41st minute as he headed Chelsea into the lead. It was his fourth game in four consecutive games for the defending champions.
Ngolo Kante, formidable as ever, scored the third goal of his Chelsea career to double their lead against his former club in the 50th minute.
Leicester would pull one goal back through a penalty in the 61st minute.
Thibaut Courtois tripped Jamie Vardy in the box and the English striker converted neatly for the home side to make it 1-2.
Although the goal increased Leicester’s appetite for a better result, Chelsea mounted enough resistance to ward them off from equalising.
