Nenadi Usman
Nenadi Usman, the factional chairperson of the Labour Party (LP), says the All Progressives Congress (APC) has “failed” Nigerians.
Speaking with journalists on Saturday in Kaduna, Usman said the level of suffering in the country is unprecedented.
She said Nigerians are grappling with economic hardship, rising unemployment, insecurity, and other forms of suffering.
“The APC has failed Nigerians. The suffering of our people has never been this widespread or this severe,” she said.

Usman also dismissed the recent gale of defections from the party, saying it will not weaken the LP structure or affect its growing support base.
“It is disheartening to see people jump ship after securing victory on one party’s platform, only to defect for selfish gain,” she said.
Usman said the party remains resolute and will continue to enjoy strong backing from the masses despite recent developments.

“We made some mistakes in candidate selection, but those lessons have been learned,” she said.
“Going forward, we will be more deliberate in choosing those who genuinely align with our mission of building a new Nigeria.”
Usman urged dissatisfied members to put their grievances behind them and unite, as the party gears up for a nationwide membership update, congresses, and a national convention sanctioned by the national executive council (NEC).
