Groffen told NAN in Lagos that the NFP scholarships had afforded the Nigerian beneficiaries the opportunities to study in different educational institutions in the Netherlands.

“We have a Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP), which enables Nigerians to study in the Netherlands,” he said.

“In 2015, more than 60 Nigerians benefited from our scholarship programme under the NFP, which enabled them to study in the Netherlands.”

He also said that “many more” Dutch companies had indicated interest in coming to invest and do business in Nigeria.

According to him, some Dutch companies are still making inquiries about the legal framework, government and central bank policies, as well as Nigeria’s overall favourable investment environment.

Groffen, therefore, said it was imperative for the Nigerian government to create the appropriate environment that would attract more foreign investments to Nigeria.
