Bukas and Joints, a new TV show, which showcases African cuisine and some of the finest places to eat across the continent, premiered on African Independent Television (AIT) on Sunday.

Olisa Adibua, media consultant and radio personality, is the host of the programme.

According to Biola Alabi, the brain behind the project, Lagos, Nigeria’s largest city, was chosen as the first stopover of the show because it captures the very essence of the universal language of food.

Alabi added that Nigeria was also considered because of its 170 million population, drawn from five hundred (500) different ethnic groups – all having a story to tell, with one unifying factor: food.
