News Central TV, a media channel focused on telling African stories, has been awarded the prestigious African Economic Merit Award (AEMA) Black Prize in New York.
The media organisations was recognised for its steadfast commitment to truthful journalism and its efforts to empower young audiences with accurate and unbiased news.
The award was received by Kayode Akintemi, News Central’s managing director and editor-in-chief, alongside Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, director of commercial and communications.
Speaking on the achievement, Akintemi said the award affirms News Central’s commitment to fearlessly reporting on issues that matter most.

Egabor-Afolahan described the honour as a testament to the hard work and passion of the entire News Central team in engaging and empowering younger generations.
