Newspaper Headlines: Adeleke petitions EFCC, alleges Oyetola stole $20m, N1.5bn

Punch reports that President Bola Tinubu turned down a N942 billion proposal by the National Population Commission (NPC) for the conduct of the national housing and population census. The newspaper says the Osun state government has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Gboyega Oyetola, the immediate past governor of the state and current minister of blue economy, over alleged misappropriation of a $20m World Bank health grant.
Guardian says the federal government raised N2.51 trillion through treasury bills and open market operation auctions as investors continue to show strong demand for lower stop rates. The newspaper reports that stakeholders have lamented the absence of merit, and the assault on due process in the appointment of vice-chancellors for higher institutions.
