Reports on President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of Jamila Ibrahim as the minister of youth affairs, and Ayodele Olawande as minister of state for the ministry, dominate the cover pages of the newspapers.

The Punch reports that oil marketers are gearing up for a fresh fuel price hike as crude oil price hits $94/barrel. The newspaper says at least two people have been hospitalised after a 500-room building collapsed in Lagos.

The Nation reports that Dave Umahi, minister of works, said the Tinubu administration has a N6 trillion funding gap on 2,604 road projects across the country. The newspaper says five died and 12 were injured in multiple auto crashes along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
