Newspaper Headlines: APC may unveil new national chairman at Thursday’s NEC meeting

Guardian reports that the senate committee on public accounts has threatened to issue a warrant of arrest against Bayo Ojulari, group chief executive officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), following his fourth consecutive failure to appear before the panel. The newspaper adds that a bill seeking to bar public and civil servants and their immediate families from using private schools and hospitals has passed the first reading at the house of representatives.
The Nation reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says only eight banks have fully met their recapitalisation requirements. The paper adds that the Osun state caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027.
