Newspaper Headlines: Blacklisted Benin varsities using Nigerian polytechnics to ‘sneak’ graduates into NYSC

Reports suggesting two governors from the opposition party could join the ruling All Progressives Congress feature prominently on today’s newspaper front pages.

Blueprint newspaper reports that Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, minister of women affairs, has urged urgent and sustained action to end child marriage, noting over 44% of Nigerian girls marry before 18. The paper says the Arewa Think Tank (ATT), a prominent Northern socio-political and policy advocacy group, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Joash Amupitan as chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
