Newspaper Headlines: Court won’t overturn Tinubu’s victory, predicts EIU

The newspapers highlighted the senate deliberations on the extradition of Simon Ekpa, factional leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), back to Nigeria from Finland to face the law. The meeting of Atiku Abubakar, former vice president, with stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also gained maximum attention.

The Nation reports that Vice-President Kashim Shettima reassured Nigerians living in Russia that the country will work again under the administration of President Bola Tinubu. The newspaper chronicles the untold story of the Kwara boat disaster that killed 126 people.

The newspaper says the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has predicted that the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election will not be overturned by the court.
