Newspaper Headlines: Ex-ANPP members threaten to dump APC over vice president slot

Reports on President Bola Tinubu’s conferment of national honours, cash rewards, and houses to Super Falcons players dominate front pages of newspapers today.

Platform Times reports that the United States has cautioned Nigerians against travelling to the country with the primary intention of giving birth and claiming US citizenship for their children. The paper adds that Emmanuel Osodeke, former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), said the union’s persistent struggles under Muhammadu Buhari stopped public universities from total collapse.
Daily Trust reports that the former members of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) have warned President Bola Tinubu that they will dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) unless the vice-presidential slot remains with their bloc. The paper adds that Nigerian army troops, with hybrid forces and intelligence from the Department of State Services (DSS), have killed 45 bandits in Shiroro, Niger state.
