The emergence of Iyorchia Ayu, former senate president, as the consensus candidate for the national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appeared on the cover pages.

The Punch reports that Ayu has emerged as the consensus national chairmanship candidate of the PDP. The newspaper says Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has asked states to be creative on revenue generation.

Daily Independent says the Nigerian military said its engagement with bandits and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is not biased.
