Newspaper Headlines: Ibas rejects Rivers assembly’s move to probe six-month spending

The PUNCH reports that Ibok-Ete Ibas, the sole administrator of Rivers, and the state house of assembly, may be heading for a showdown following the lawmakers’ decision to probe the state’s expenditure over the past few months — a move the ex-naval officer said they have no power to undertake, noting that they did not appoint him as administrator.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted rainy and thundery weather conditions from Monday to Wednesday across the country.
