Newspaper Headlines: Malami kicks as EFCC raids his Abuja, Kebbi homes

The controversy on the alleged alterations of  the tax reform laws and the resignation of heads of petroleum sector regulators suffuse the frontpages.

The Punch reports that the controversy trailing the petroleum sector has taken another twist following the resignation of Farouk Ahmed, the chief executive officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, and his counterpart at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Gbenga Komolafe. The newspaper says operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have raided the office and private residence of Abubakar Malami, former attorney-general of the federation, in Abuja and Kebbi state.
Daily Trust reports that controversy is trailing the planned implementation of the tax reform law after Abdussamad Dasuki, a member of the house of representatives, alleged that the version passed by the house is different from the version gazetted.
