Newspaper Headlines: Naira strengthens to 1,514/$, nears five-month high

Tribune reports that the Osun chapter of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) said the accountant-general of the federation is plotting to pre-empt the supreme court by paying LG funds to APC chairmen sacked by courts. The newspaper says the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has declared that it would still embark on a strike beginning from Monday despite the intervention of the federal government.
