Newspaper Headlines: NBA asks police to arrest Bulkachuwa for ‘influencing court decisions’

Reports on the unification of all segments of the foreign exchange market, dominate the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers today.

The Punch reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed deposit money banks to remove the rate cap on the naira at the official investors and exporters window of the foreign exchange market. The newspaper says the federal government will start disbursing the students loan in September.
The Nation reports that the CBN has announced the unification of all segments of the forex (FX) market. The newspaper says President Bola Tinubu has suspended Abdulrasheed Bawa as the chairperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
THISDAY reports that Bawa honoured an invitation by the Department of State Services (DSS), hours after he was suspended indefinitely by Tinubu. The newspaper says the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has asked the Nigeria Police Force and the anti-corruption agencies to arrest Adamu Bulkachuwa, a former senator, for allegedly influencing the course of justice in the country.
Daily Independent reports that gunmen have abducted seven students of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) at their hostel located outside the school campus. The newspaper says the senate has adjourned sitting to July 4 in order to resolve issues involving the welfare of lawmakers.
The Guardian reports that the Kano state government has demolished the famous golden jubilee monument, a multi-million naira statue constructed by Abdullahi Ganduje, immediate-past governor of Kano.
