The passage of the anti-open grazing and value-added-tax bills by the Lagos state house of assembly dominated the headlines of Nigerian newspapers.

The Nation reports that Buhari said he is ready to stabilise security and economy before the end of his tenure in 2023. The newspaper says the United Nations (UN) has warned Nigeria against the abduction of students in schools.

The Punch says the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and senior lawyers have warned the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the national assembly against any illegality in the amendment of the value-added-tax law.
