The federal government’s rejection of the travel ban imposed on the country by the UK government appeared on the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the federal government faulted the travel ban imposed on Nigeria by the UK government over the Omicron COVID-19 variant. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said rising food prices fuelling inflation in Nigeria, the newspaper says.
