Reports on the threat to revoke the licences of electricity distribution companies over poor power supply, permeate the front pages of the dailies. 

The Punch reports that at least 24 states of the federation will not be able to pay workers salaries this year without having to wait for federal allocations. The newspaper says the federal government has threatened to revoke the licences of electricity distribution companies over the prolonged blackout in the country.

Daily Trust reports that the United Nations (UN) has confirmed the abduction of female internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Borno state. The newspaper says Wale Edun, minister of finance, said eight years of printing money under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari caused the current inflation in the country.
