Reports on rejection of the presidential election petition tribunal by the opposition parties, dominate the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has slammed Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, for criticising the verdict of the presidential election petition tribunal. The newspaper says the federal government has ordered power distribution companies to create customer engagement platforms.

The Nation says the Lagos state house of assembly has confirmed 15 of the second batch of 18 commissioner nominees recently sent by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of the state. The newspaper reports that Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, has returned to the country from his medical vacation in Germany.

The Guardian says there is an endless wait for the distribution of subsidy removal palliatives in some states, as the process is largely reminiscent of the 2020 experience of palliative hoarding, thieving, and looting by public officials.

Daily Independent reports that Atiku and Obi are set to approach the supreme court to appeal the ruling of the presidential election petition tribunal. The newspaper says Mohammed Badaru, the minister of defence, said the country needs prayers to succeed in the fight against insecurity.

Vanguard reports that at least 30 persons have lost their lives in a landslide reportedly triggered by activities of illegal miners in the Kuje area of the federal capital territory (FCT). The newspaper says mixed reactions have trailed the verdict of the presidential election petition tribunal.
