Newspaper Headlines: Presidency asks ministers to leave official vehicles behind | Tinubu vows to kill corruption

Reports on the dismissal of the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the presidential ticket of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that all is now set for the May 29 inauguration as the supreme court has dismissed the suit seeking to nullify the ticket that produced President-elect Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, vice president-elect, in the 2023 presidential election. The newspaper says the presidency said ministers will not be allowed to leave office with their official vehicles.

The Nation reports that Tinubu said the planned removal of petrol subsidy and multiple exchange rates may pose initial challenges for his administration. The newspaper says Hadi Sirika, minister of aviation, bypassed regulatory procedures in acquiring the aeroplane packaged for the unveiling of Nigeria Air.

Daily Trust reports that access to free education and security topped requests from children to the incoming administration of Tinubu. The newspaper says Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor-elect of Kano, has invited Muhammadu Sanusi II, former Emir of Kano, to his inauguration.
