Reports on the proposed creation of state police, and the naira strengthening against the dollar at the foreign exchange market, dominate the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that 16 state governors have submitted reports expressing their support for the creation of state police to the national economic council. The newspaper says the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) wants the new minimum wage for Nigerian workers to begin in April this year.
