The move of the senate to override the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to withhold assent to the electoral bill appeared on the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Nation reports that the senate is moving to override Buhari on the electoral act amendment bill. The newspaper says the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) is set to fix 1,800 kilometres of highway with N621 billion.

The Punch reports that some governors supported the decision of the president to decline assent to the electoral bill. The newspaper says customers are lamenting over the inability to withdraw more funds from banks during yuletide.
